Job Description / Responsibility
* Manage and motivate the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
* Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
* Manage the variable cost lines of the store such as Electricity, water, telephone, shrinkages, staff overtime, conveys etc.
* Deal with suppliers for space rent out and increase other income.
* Analyze sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits.
* Deal with staffing issues such as grievances, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as provide or organize training and development
* Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
* Resolve health and safety, legal and security issues.
* Respond to customer complaints and comments.
* Organize special promotions, displays and events.
* Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
* Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
