IT Projects Officer
 
Ref: BAG/GI/11
 
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, the jobholder will coordinate all the IT Division projects, in line with time, cost scope, and performance targets
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project management life cycle for the implementation of highly large-scale strategic IT projects
  • Implement established policies, system monitors and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all corporate initiatives in the Program
  • Manage allocation of resources within the program(s) to meet work fluctuations and budget and time constraints in the delivery process
  • Manage all aspects of the project management of a corporate initiative, which may include: cost benefit analysis, work plans, functional and technical designs, construction, testing and implementation.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
  • Bachelors  degree  in  Computer  Science,  Business or Engineering or equivalent
  • Project management Expertise (certificate or PMP) 
  • Previous technical project management experience in a dynamic high-technology environment
  • 3 years' experience in Program Management and in execution of multiple related development projects simultaneously with working knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle and the Project Management Lifecycle
  • A good understanding of managing projects in a changing business environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, SharePoint or other relevant project management and office applications 
  • Strong goal setting and task prioritization abilities
  • Excellent communication, presentations and interpersonal skills.
