Reporting to the Risk
& Compliance Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for all risk
related matters for the Britam group.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out risk assessments for all Britam entities and prepare risk registers
- Prepare action tracking plans on objectives, risk and controls and monitor agreed actions to closure
- Facilitate risk workshops to aid in the identification of new risks and controls as well as validate existing risks and controls
- Carry out risk and control self-assessments
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Statistics or a related discipline
- Professional qualifications in risk i.e. qualified or in the process of attaining the qualifications is an added advantage
- Working experience of at least 3 years in insurance or banking
- The aptitude to investigate and assess technical risks and to retain large amounts of technical knowledge
- Strong analytical skills essential for the job.
