Tearfund Finance Administrator Job in Kenya

Finance Administrator

Location: Nairobi

We are seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to provide financial and administrative support to the programme and partners.
  • This role involves reviewing, analysing and tracking partner financial reports, providing advice and technical support on financial systems to the partners organisations, processing of suppliers’ payments, payment of statutory obligations, updating cash books, managing petty cash records and float returns , preparing bank reconciliations, budget and expenditure monitoring, statutory audits preparations, financial reporting as well as updating fixed asset registers.
  • The job requires significant travelling to countries with diverse cultural values and beliefs.
  • This role requires a candidate with Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration with CPA qualifications or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in accounting/finance.
  • The candidate should demonstrate initiative, problem solving and good interpersonal abilities. 
  • Be a team player who is both adaptable and flexible, with excellent written and verbal communication in English and competent in Ms Office. Strong organisational and administrative skills, financial training and coaching skills as well as have an aptitude for attention to detail are also required. 
  • This role requires a committed evangelical Christian who will be required to lead or participate in spiritual sessions of worship, prayer, and be committed to the outworking of Tearfund’s Missions, Values and Belief’s statement.
