The Standard Group comprises, the Standard newspapers, KTN, Radio Maisha, PDS, Standard Digital and Think Outdoor Services. 
The group is in the processes of strengthening its management and leadership team by recruiting highly motivated, qualified, experienced and competent, individuals to the following positions.
 
Business Executive - Online Business (Digital)
 
The Business Executive will be responsible for managing advertising plans so as to achieve the set revenue objectives for Online Business through the provision of online and mobile advertising solutions to potential advertisers.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Achievement of set revenue targets from online and mobile media as set from time to time
  • Ensuring increased partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders
  • Effective customer service to increase product awareness and recruitment of new clients
  • Ensure regular update on market trends, habits, preferences related to digital media;
  • Up to date follow up and collection of revenue
  • Ensuring all fixed revenue obligations are met and collected
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Graduate in a Business related degree from a recognized university;
  • Diploma or certificate in digital advertising background will be an added advantage.
  • At least 1- 2 years sales experience in digital advertising.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills;
  • Innovative and aggressive individual
Market Analyst
 
The Market Analyst will be responsible for interpreting data, market information, trends in market, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the analysis findings.
 
The Market Analyst applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and information provided with an objective of providing recommendations to management. Market Research Analysts frequently present the findings and recommendations to the client.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Formulating and design tools for market trend analysis while recommending proposed steps
  • Leverages existing resources (or develop requirements to obtain) and identifies key performance indicators/metrics
  • Provide analytical expertise based on market analysis and process knowledge to recommend actionable solutions that meet the business need.
  • Identify and work closely with partners to identify new processes and process improvements
  • Understand and summarize business requirements
  • Making day to day and monthly in-depth data analysis and identify cross impact to the group business
  • Monitor and manage milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and identify / mitigate risk
  • Active participation in implementation and post implementation processes of projects/ products
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge sharing within the teams
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, or statistics
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as market analysis, media experience will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills with expertise in Excel, or related packages
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player; developing alternative solutions to complex problems, thinking outside the box, encouraging group consensus and recommending the best solution.
  • Skillful with scenario-based analysis and use case driven design techniques.
  • Extensive project and program experience with a proven record of delivery.
Business Executive Supplements, Agency and Radio
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieving set annual and monthly targets for multimedia advertising sales
  • To increase advertising opportunities within Standard Groups products which will translate to higher revenues
  • To follow systems and standards desired to deliver highest customer service to clients
  • To support, maintain and grow business contacts with both the existing and potential advertising clients and agents.
  • Develop strategy to increase sales volumes and market share
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any relevant degree.
  • Professional diploma qualification in Marketing
  • Full competence in presentation skills is required
  • Experience of 2 years preferably in media sales
