World Vision Plant Technician - Mechanic Job in Kenya


World Vision Kenya is a leading non-governmental Christian humanitarian, relief, development and advocacy organization with projects in most parts of Kenya. 

We wish to urgently recruit highly competent people to fill the following positions within our organization.
 
Job Title: Plant Technician - Mechanic

Purpose of Position     
 
To conduct mechanical repairs of the equipments and work together with the other drilling crew to drill/rehabilitate boreholes in accordance to WVK, WRMA,NEMA, and other stakeholders standards, in order to facilitate provision of potable water for household livelihoods, thus contributing to the attainment of child well being outcomes.

Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
  • Grade 1 certificate in Mechanics or Technician diploma in Automotive Engineering from a recognized institute,
  • At least 8 years experience in repairs and maintenance of diesel engine vehicles.
  • At least 2 years experience in drilling work.
  • Valid BCE class driving license and atleast 3 years experience in driving Lorries, buses or rigs.
  • Good team player, self starter, has ability to work under minimum supervision and maintain good relationships
