Imagine IMC Limited is an agency that exists to create inspiring relationships between brands and customers, whether through traditional advertising media like TV, radio, and print, or other channels like events which give people the chance to experience brands directly.

We are looking for a high caliber individual to fill the position of an Account Manager.

The Account Manager’s main responsibility will be to maintain client relationships on multiple accounts and to market for new business from existing and new clients.

The successful candidate should be open to working in the agency’s regional market i.e. Tanzania and Uganda.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Build a working relationship with the client
  • Look out for new opportunities with existing client that can be converted into new business for the agency
  • Works closely with the operations team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project
  • Ensuring the execution to the letter of the approved campaigns
  • Address client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in a timely manner, with follow-up when appropriate.
  • Make weekly and monthly accounts status report and update client status on the online system.
  •  Deliver ongoing market analysis and assessment of competitors and market intelligence with a focus on the future and value creation.
  • Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicate all offerings to the client
  • Own the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client
  • Retain accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decision makers and users within an organization.
  • Communicate the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the company.
  • To monitor performance keeping the budget in mind and suggest measures to maintain profits
  • To identify business trends, forecast demand and prepare the annual sales budget
  • Timely billing of clients upon completion of assignments
  • Follow up on collection of outstanding bills from clients
The candidate shall have the following experience, competencies and skills:
  • Minimum two (2) years relevant experience in Accounts Management and or Client Service preferably in an Advertising agency.
  • Prior experience working in either Tanzania or Uganda in the same capacity will be an added advantage.
  • A degree in a business related field preferably marketing
  • A pro-active self-starter who can operate both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills.
  • Superior presentation skills
  • High commercial acumen and a record of confidence dealing with middle managers.
