Nuru International Research & Development Fellow Job in Kenya

Job Title: Research & Development Fellow, Kenya

Job Description

Nuru’s R&D Program seeks to develop and support products that will increase the impact of our programs and help our communities in Kenya end extreme poverty.
There is growing attention to the need for delivering well-designed user-centric products to those trapped in poverty, and as a result there is an increasing amount of great products available.
R&D’s mission is to select products that will have the greatest impact in our community, and realize that impact in our communities through our manufacturing and logistics capabilities.
One example of a product that is helping the Healthcare Program achieve its goal is the handwashing station.
We manufacture the handwashing stations from locally available materials and distribute them throughout the community in order to promote handwashing and decrease diarrheal rates.
However, there are also products we buy off the shelf and distribute into the community, such as mosquito nets and chlorine to purify water.
