Job Description / Responsibility
Land Surveyor in building construction.
His responsibilities are to prepare the boundary data of lands. Their responsibilities include providing Proposed Plot Plans, Boundary Surveys, Building Location Surveys, Foundation Location Surveys, Utility and Pipeline Surveys, Environmental Impact Statements, Topographic Surveys, and Land Development Plans. They are also responsible to make boundary line adjustments, produce topographic maps, retrace property lines and prepare subdivision maps. They also have responsibility to know about zoning regulations, building, planning and wetland regulations, health policies, and general land use codes.
Land surveyors have to determine the location of boundaries of the land surveyed. They must perform the projects according to the technical standards. They must obey the surveyor’s formalities and manage the sub contractors. They must provide technical and operational support to their land surveying teams. The land surveyors must perform boundary determinations from title documents, field surveys and record details. They must complete and coordinate boundary calculations related with final plans. They must direct their field team members for collecting boundary evidence as a support for their boundary determinations. They must make sure that there is synchronization between the surveying efforts of the project in particular area. They must review and update the invoices of their surveying projects
