Job Description / Responsibility

    02 Posts (01 for Rajshahi and 01 for Kishoreganj District)
    The Technical Officer – Agriculture is responsible for ensuring implementation of agricultural activities through implementing partners within the project which impacts on the lives of the extreme poor people living on the island char and haor areas and results in lasting positive changes.
    Ensuring that the Project Implementation plan is executed jointly with the partners and delivered timely and effectively to ensure sustainability of the project interventions to completion and beyond
    Facilitating effective coordination, implementation and monitoring of planned activities among partners towards achieving the project objectives
    Arranging and facilitating training, workshops and seminars for partners involved with the project for increasing partner’s capacity in the areas of cultivating tested cropping patterns for char and haor regions. Support the partners in their dialogue with local stakeholders, encouraging them to maintain good relations within the project locality;
    Making sure that project agricultural activities are implemented in line with the project budgets and value for money is ensured within the project;
    Ensuring that Concern Worldwide administrative, financial and resource management policies and regulation are understood implemented and followed by assigned partners of the project;
    Supporting the partners in collecting regular monitoring information related with the project and documenting;
    Supporting the collection and delivery of high quality case studies and best practices when needed; Participating actively in team planning and other meetings, working to set common objectives and goals and striving to ensure that they are successfully achieved;
    Orientating partner NGOs and other stakeholders on the HAP standards, and in particular the CRM
    Ensuring the CRM is implemented within the Technical(s) and is being followed up on by the partner NGO(s).
    As part of Concern’s emergency response, you may be called upon within 24 – 48 hours notice to serve the organization anywhere in Bangladesh, In the event of this occurring, you will be briefed on your role and responsibilities by the Head of the RRRU and by the HR
    Salary for this position: Taka 34,131/= per month with other regular benefits (Negotiable for highly competent candidates).

Educational Requirements

Masters in Agriculture science, agronomy, horticulture, social sciences or relevant discipline from any reputed University.
Experience Requirements

    Minimum 5 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements

    At least 5 years experience in working with development organization and working with partners.
    Understanding on capacity assessment, skills and capacity building; developing training modules; facilitate and deliver training , follow-up of training impact.
    Sound knowledge and good understanding on the technical resources/organisations and accessing of such resources available in country.
    Experience in development and management of participatory ideas and innovation for test out and further extension in the project areas and outside.
    Experience and ability to work and manage consultants, technical agencies and contracts.
    Experience in documentation and presentation.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
    Experience in working with government research and extension institutions, local government institutions and departments.
    Proven knowledge of budget management
    Knowledge of basic administrative, financial and resources management policies;
    Knowledge of generating different reports;
    Practical knowledge/experience in commonly used computer software
    Willing to frequent travel to the field
