Truck Driver
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate involve driving a truck as authorized;
carrying out routine checks on the truck’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure, etc.,
detecting and reporting malfunctioning of the truck’s systems, maintenance of work tickets for the truck assigned; ensuring security and safety for the truck on and off the road;
safety of the cargo/goods therein and maintaining cleanliness of the truck.
Requirement for appointment
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), at least mean grade D (plan) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Valid, clean driving license with special type endorsement (Articulated motor-vehicle).
First Aid certificate (Course not lasting less than one week)
Certificate of competence
Valid certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police
Testimonials from all the former employees
At least 7 years of truck driving experience, especially Mercedes Actros/FAW trucks
Must be 40 years of age or above.
