Karen Roses Ltd Unit Manager Job in Eldama Ravine Kenya

Karen Roses Ltd is seeking to recruit the right candidate to fill the position of a Unit Manager in its Eldama Ravine farm.

The position entails the following:

1. Carrying out all production processes (crop husbandry, protection & nutrition practices).
 

2. Implementation of the Company Integrated Crop Management Systems (ICM).
 

3. Proper keeping of production, ICM and other requisite records for the unit.
 

4. Liaising with the Post-Harvest Department on Quality Issues

5. Carrying out of production forecasts as and when required.
 

6. Drawing up weekly and production reports.
 

7. Drawing up weekly farm operations plan in liaison with the General Manager.
 

8. Responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of the spray and fertigation systems in the unit.

The ideal candidate should possess the following credentials:
 

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture
 

2. At least 4 years’ experience in production of roses
 

3. Excellent Knowledge of ICM Systems
 

4. Proficient in crop protection practices within the framework of IPM.
 

5. Computer literacy
 

6. Knowledge on harvest IT will be an added advantage
 

7. Excellent managerial, supervisory  and problem solving skills
 

8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
