Job Description / Responsibility
Promotion of Social and Environmental Standards (PSES) is a joint programme of theBangladeshand German Governments, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. It promotes social and environmental standards in the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry ofBangladesh, with an objective to contribute to the sector’s competitiveness and improvement of working conditions.
A major activity of PSES is capacity development. To this end, it works with government agencies, the garment and knitwear exporters associations, training providers and directly with factories to strengthen their knowledge on RMG related social & environmental standards.
From 23 – 27 September, PSES is going to organize a 5-days ToT course which will focus on major Social Compliance issues, Social Dialogue and basic Training & Moderation Techniques. The course is meant for trainers and consultants who wish to conduct training on social compliance standards in the future.
The training will be conducted by experienced national trainers who were trained by GIZ. Course language is Bangla and English.

The participants will be selected who have a minimum 5 years’ job experience in social compliance either in factories, buyers’ offices, consulting companies or private service providers. The participants are expected to be well conversant with the requirements of Bangladesh Labour Act 2006. S/he is also aware of the requirements of various international standards like SA8000, WRAP, BSCI, ISO 14001,OHSAS18000etc.and the code of conduct of different buyers.
The participants must have a sincere interest in conducting trainings and those who already have direct involvement as trainer in their job shall be given preference.
