Job Description / Responsibility
Friendship is a value based organization; its mission is to help the poorest of the poor. The organization especially works in the most underprivileged, communities inBangladeshin the Nomad islands (the Chars) riverine and coastal belt areas of the northern and southern part ofBangladesh.
Friendship provides mainly the following health services :
1. Hospital based services in two floating hospitals and one land hospital.
2. Community based health services
a) Satellite clinic services
b) Friendship Community Medics (FCM) services
Friendship is looking for Health Manager for its floating hospital.
The responsibilities include:
Supervise and manage the total health team in the floating hospital and also the satellite Clinics, particularly in the coastal belt
Ensure the community based health services including satellite clinics in different locations are operating appropriately
Provide technical support to the Medical Officers, paramedics and FCMs when required.
Coordinate organization of the health camps, which includes coordinating foreign doctors, volunteers and interns.
Coordinate the visits of international volunteers and doctors
Provide feedback to the field and hospital staff.
Ensure establishing referral network with different health service providers
Establish professional relationship with GoB counterpart (health and family planning departments)
Produce regular and annual reports
Ensure timely supply of medicine and other medical commodities to the hospital
Follow guidance and instruction from head office management.
Plan and organize training program for the staff
Compile and analyze service data
As a member of the Project team, work should be done in coordination with colleagues to ensure high quality support to the projects and excellence within the organization.
Represent the organization by participating in the meeting and workshops
Attend organizational meeting

MPH from recognized university will give added value
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements
Working in the similar type of organization would be a preference.
Practical knowledge in clinical services and health care system
Have basic computing knowledge with MS Office applications
