Sales Manager, General Insurance

Reporting to the General Manager, General Insurance; the job holder will be responsible for growth of the general insurance business from across multiple distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, General Insurance; the job holder will be responsible for growth of the general insurance business from across multiple distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, guide and supervise branch managers and other sales staff so as to attain the company’s sales targets and market share objectives
- Develop clear and innovative strategies for market growth and development of new markets
- Develop and maintain excellent relations with brokers and other channels
- High level involvement in negotiating key accounts
- Initiate new product recommendations for market research and development
- Identify and develop new distribution outlets
- Assist in designing appropriate sales promotions, competitions and incentive schemes
- Training and development of the sales team.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
- A business related degree or equivalent
- Relevant professional training such as ACII or AIIK, CIM
- 8 years sales and marketing experience particularly with brokers/Independent agencies (IAs)
- Good Business development skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills.
