Britam Property Division General Manager Job in Kenya

General Manager, Property Division 
Ref: BAG/GF/1

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the short, medium and long term real estate strategies for the Group as a whole in order to achieve our objective of becoming the leading property developer within the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and articulate the property business’s vision
  • Create annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the Board
  • Develop future leadership of the property business
  • Over see the Group’s property development initiatives and the overall management of various developments undertaken by the group
  • Oversee the scouting for land and other properties opportunities to be included in the group’s land bank to fit the Group’s property strategy
  • Oversee the marketing of the group’s properties and the management the existing properties including management of the subsidiary and branch office leases
  • Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations in all group offices.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in property related disciplines such as Architecture, Building Economics, and Land Economics
  • A Masters Degree in a financial discipline e.g. MBA, Finance, Economics, etc.
  • Relevant Professional qualification
  • 10 years working experience of which 5 years should be in senior management team carrying out similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to motivate teams to high performance
  • Team player who is able to interact with people in the other business units of the Group at all levels.
