Treasury and Investments Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director – Insurance Company, the Job holder will be responsible for the Investment Assets of the organization and all processes and procedures that affect the respective positions, valuations and representation of the assets.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director – Insurance Company, the Job holder will be responsible for the Investment Assets of the organization and all processes and procedures that affect the respective positions, valuations and representation of the assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Investment policy and guidelines and ensure their implementation
- Analyse investment opportunities and make appropriate investment proposals/ recommendations for consideration
- Review and ensure optimal asset allocation and manage the Company’s cash flow process
- Maintain the Investment Register and other investments records
- Monitor repayment of all loans and ensure appropriate recovery action is instituted in the event of default
- Liaises with the Property Manager on the administration of lease and collection of rents
- Prepare various periodic investments and management reports and analyze the monthly investments accounts and variance reports
- Ensuring compliance with insurance Act, its rules and regulations.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
- University degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting
- Qualified Accountant or Investment Analyst (CPA (K), CFA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in a senior finance, accounting or investment position
- Proficiency in computerized accounting packages, spreadsheets and word processing.
