Christian Health Association of Kenya, a national faith based organization committed to promoting access to quality health care is seeking a suitable candidate for the following position for a CDC-funded comprehensive HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment Project in selected faith based affiliated sites in Central,
Eastern, Coast and Nairobi regions:
 
Position: Clinical Coordinator (Medical Doctor - Physician/Paediatrician)
 
The position reports to the Project Director
 
Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the HIV care , treatment and support strategy
  • Assist CHAK and its partners in the assessment, development, improvement and dissemination of sound HIV/AIDS care protocols and strategies
  • Provide support to implementing sites on comprehensive HIV care and treatment issues
  • Facilitate capacity building through CMEs
  • Analyze, synthesize and disseminate cutting edge methodologies, lessons learned and best practices to partners regarding comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and their application to policies and programs.
  • Promote information exchange with partners, NASCOP, faith based institutions and other networks about effective program implementation practices and lessons learned
Desired Skills:
  • Technical expertise and experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support
  • Demonstrated organizational, training and facilitation skills including clinical mentorship
  • Demonstrated knowledge of USG/PEPFAR results reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a team player
Education and Experience:
  • Professional advanced medical degree, MMed (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Family Medicine)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in HIV&AIDS programmes or clinical work
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
